For custom writing services, intellectual property ownership transfers to the client only after full payment has been received unless otherwise stated in a written agreement.

 

Service Policy

Pen and Purpose Studio provides professional writing and creative services tailored to individuals, families, educators, organizations, and businesses.

Services may include, but are not limited to:

• Articles

• Content development

• Ghostwriting

• Editing

• Proofreading

• Manuscript review

• Creative consulting

Each project is unique and will be discussed individually before work begins.

Project scope, timelines, deliverables, revision allowances, and pricing will be agreed upon before commencement of services.

Clients will receive written confirmation of agreed project details prior to the start of work.

Payment terms will be confirmed before work begins. Most projects require a non-refundable deposit prior to commencement of services. The remaining balance is due according to the agreed project terms and must be paid before final delivery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Clear communication helps ensure successful outcomes. Clients are encouraged to provide complete project information and review materials promptly throughout the project process.

 

Revisions Policy

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, projects include up to two reasonable rounds of revisions.

Revision requests must be submitted within the timeframe communicated for the specific project.

Requests that substantially change the original scope, objectives, or requirements of the project may be treated as a new service and may incur additional fees.

Once final approval has been provided, any additional changes requested may be treated as a new revision request or a separate project and may incur additional fees.

 

Cancellation Policy

Clients may cancel a project prior to work commencing.

Once work has begun, payments made for completed work and time already invested are generally non-refundable.

If a project is paused, abandoned, or terminated by the client after work has started, compensation may be retained for work completed up to that point.

Each situation will be assessed reasonably and fairly based on the stage of project completion.

 

Refund Policy

Due to the customized and creative nature of writing services, refunds are generally not available once work has commenced.

If a client is dissatisfied with a deliverable, reasonable revisions will be provided in accordance with the agreed project terms.

For digital products, including downloadable content and e-books, all sales are final.

Exceptions may be considered in cases of duplicate payments, billing errors, or verified technical issues preventing access to purchased content.

Requests relating to payment concerns should be submitted within seven (7) days of purchase.

 

Limitation of Liability

Every effort is made to provide accurate, professional, and high-quality services.

However, Pen and Purpose Studio shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of this website or the services provided.

Any liability, where permitted by law, shall be limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

 

Governing Law

These policies and any services provided through this website shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of Jamaica.

Any disputes arising from the use of this website or related services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Jamaica.
